Car seat quality mark and rules
Children up to 1.35 meters in height must be transported in a car seat. To guarantee the safety of your child, the car seat must meet the following 1 requirements: the I-Size approval (ECE R129) or the "older" ECE R44 standard. The difference between the R129 standard and the R44 standard is that stricter rules have been added to prevent abdominal injuries. Car seats with the R44 standard can be used, but it is still recommended to use car seats with the R129 standard for more safety. With the new R129 legislation your child from 0 to 15 months must be transported backwards with an Isofix attachment. Below is the classification according to the I-Size:

The baby car seat must be placed against the direction of travel. In the event of a collision, your child's neck and head are better protected. The chair is fastened with a harness belt or a Y-belt. The seat is secured in the car via a base with the Isofix. The toddler car seat is attached with the car seat belt or the Isofix. The child is secured by means of a harness or 5-point belt. The high chairs include a side support and a headrest for side impacts. A booster seat can be used for your child to sit better, the seat belt will then fit better around your child.
Installation in the car with Isofix and / or seat belt
Car seats can be mounted in the car in 2 ways. Isofix is a system that is often used internationally. The frame is simply clicked onto a frame. The mounting points are located in the back of the rear seat. The seats with Isofix all contain grab hooks for easy attachment. The advantage of the Isofix is that it is easy to use and, according to the Consumers' Association, scores higher on safety. Car seats without Isofix can be secured with a seat belt. The seat belt should be fastened according to the manufacturer's instructions. The advantage is that it is very cheap, but there is a good chance that it will be fixed incorrectly.
